PADI Open Water Diver with dry suit (incl. Dry Suit Spec.)
The PADI Open Water Diver course is your first step into the world of scuba diving. You will learn the most important information and skills that make diving natural and safe, even in our home waters, and at the same time open the door to amazing underwater nature experiences. Once you have the basics in place, you can enjoy Finland's beautiful diving sites and set off on a journey to explore the underwater world of holiday destinations with confidence and a relaxed feel.
Why this course?
This course is suitable for you if you want to:
- Learn to scuba dive
- Get a comprehensive foundation for your hobby: acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, be able to apply what you have learned in open water conditions, and learn about local diving conditions
- Earn the world's most recognized diving certification, the PADI Open Water Diver, which allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters around the world.
- On the fifth open water dive of the course, you will also earn a PADI Dry Suit diver rating, which shows that your skills meet the competency requirements of a dry suit diver.
Course content:
- Theory (Knowledge Development)
You will learn the basics of diving, including planning, hand signals, procedures, safety and equipment. Theory is studied using PADI eLearning. You will receive course content for the OWD course and the Dry Suit course. - Pool exercises (Confined Water)
You will practice key basic skills with an instructor in a safe pool environment. Before your open water dives, you will also practice using a drysuit once.
- Open Water Dives
The course consists of 5 dives , usually over two days . These dives will put your skills into the right environment and give you the confidence to act as a diver, and after 5 dives you will be certified as a PADI Dry Suit Diver.
Requirements and age limit
- Minimum age: 10 years (under 15 years: PADI Junior Open Water Diver (max 12m) .
- Water skills
200 m swim, 10 min float/stay on water - Health check-up
You will fill out all the necessary forms with the eLearning material. You will receive all the necessary instructions with the course letter.

Attention: We all learn at different rates. The course has plenty of time for learning and practice, but if you feel that you need more training to meet the skill requirements and certification requirements, additional lessons in the pool and/or open water can be arranged .
Additional lessons to be arranged always together and billed separately. Safety is the number one priority in diving, and that is why we emphasize good basic skills and meeting the PADI Open Water Diver course requirements.
