Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary & Secondary Care
Emergency First Response (EFR) training teaches you what to do in those critical minutes when an emergency occurs, before emergency medical services arrive. This course is not just “paper,” but practical first aid and CPR training, where you practice skills in a relaxed manner so that you can act as clearly and confidently as possible in the real situation.
EFR Primary & Secondary Care meets the first aid/resuscitation requirement PADI Rescue Diver - and PADI Divemaster -ratings.
What did you learn?
In the course you will learn, among other things:
- to deal with various illnesses and injuries
- to help someone who is choking
- to act in a possible situation involving a patient with a back/neck injury
- to make bandages and splints
- perform CPR and practice the techniques in practice
Course structure
1) EFR eLearning (2–4 hours)
Study at your own pace, online or offline. Watch videos on first aid techniques and learn emergency procedures. The trainer is there to help you with any questions.
2) Face-to-face training with your instructor (approx. 3-4 hours)
We will practice in practice: CPR with a training dummy, first aid measures, dressings and splints, and role-based training situations. You will get repetitions until you feel confident.

- contact teaching: 3–4 hours
